A Lifetime in the Trade

For nearly five decades, jewellery has been at the heart of our family business.

Stephen began his career with a traditional seven-year apprenticeship, learning the craft the proper way — at the bench, under the guidance of experienced master goldsmiths. Those early years laid the foundations for the meticulous standards and attention to detail that still define our work today.

After qualifying, Stephen spent a number of years working for high street jewellers, before then starting his own workshop, in 2000 he decided it was time to go it along, he then spent the next 12 years as a self-employed “jobbing jeweller”, carrying out trade repairs and alterations for independent jewellery shops across the North West. From intricate restorations to complex rebuilds, he handled every aspect of jewellery repair behind the scenes — becoming the trusted craftsman that other jewellers relied upon.

But Stephen believed customers deserved direct access to the goldsmith himself — without the middleman.

A Family Craft

Liam later joined the business in 2014, leaving his role as a store manager at a respected family-run jewellers in Liverpool to continue the family tradition.

Training directly under his father, Liam learned the full skillset required to become a goldsmith — from traditional bench work to advanced setting techniques. He further developed his expertise by completing specialist training to become a recognised master diamond setter, allowing us to offer even more highly skilled services entirely in-house.

Today, across our two stores, we continue to train and mentor the next generation, passing down the same standards of craftsmanship that Stephen learned during his apprenticeship.

We openly admit — we are perfectionists. And that’s exactly how it should be when you’re trusted with something precious.
